Choose Which Toolbox You Need for Your Truck

All truck toolboxes are designed to protect tools and equipment from weather and break-ins. Consider the size of your truck and what you're planning to store in it when choosing a toolbox. Truck toolboxes can be installed on the front, side or even underneath the truck bed. Check out the options below.

Crossover Truck Toolboxes (saddle toolboxes) - The most popular choice. They are durable and easy to install. You'll have valuable storage space underneath the toolbox. Handy for hauling plywood, drywall or anything that needs to slide into the truck bed. Designed to sit on top of the truck bed rails, Most have a single lid that opens up toward the cab. Gull-wing models are also available. They have two lids that each open toward the center, making access easier.
Side Truck Toolboxes - Can be mounted on one or both sides of the truck bed. Run the length of the bed for easy access to the contents of the box without having to get inside the bed of your truck. Some include support legs for greater stability. Wheel-well toolboxes are side-mounting that wrap around the shape of the wheel. This allows for additional storage space while leaving the truck bed open for more cargo.
Chest Toolboxes - Sit directly on the floor of the truck bed without crossing over the top rails. A great option if you have a tonneau cover or need something more portable for the jobsite.
